Seminar payment
Has anyone ever suggested fixed price for every single seminar for the whole year? For example like if there were 10 seminars in a year I`d pay 250€ on January and I would already have a place in all those seminars. System like this would be beneficial in many ways so those making such decisions please take it under advicement.

RE: Seminar payment
This would mean we would have to give preference / guarantee a place for those who pay the whole year price, I think.
I am not completely certain I would consider it fair that in the case that there is a couple of so highly popular seminars that they become full, it is the same guys who get to go on all of them. Not sure how much of a problem this would realistically be, though. |

RE: Seminar payment
The biggest problem with a system like that is deciding a whole year in advance how many seminars will be run, and what they will cover. It's also been my experience that most students (Jani being an exception) have quite narrow interests- they want to focus on just longsword, or just rapier, etc. and the seminars tend to be on a broad range of topics.
As an idea it has merit, but there are a lot of wrinkles to iron out before it would work. One possibility would be a pre-paid chit for 5 or 10 seminars; we will always do at least 12 in a year, usually more like 20, so the student could pick the ones they want to go to, and just sign up like everyone else. Reserving a place isn't usually an issue- we can almost always fit more students in than actually come. When that changes, we will just repeat the super-popular topics. Yours GW |
