Terve kaikille.

Salilla käyneet ovat ehkä huomanneet, että treenivälineistöön on ilmestynyt kummallinen kapistus, punnerruspölkky.

Tämä malli on Purpleheart Armoriesin sisaryhtiön, Revolution Clubs:in valmistama.

Hello all,

there is now a pushup-block at Salle. It was kindly provided to us by Christian Darce from Purpleheart Armories and Revolution Clubs for test use. Please try the block out and tell me how you like it, and I'll forward the comments to Christian. If you want your own block, order one from http://www.revolutionclubs.net/shena.htm - or if you're very handy you are of course allowed to make your own as well.

If you want instruction on how to use the block, ask me. I'd be delighted to show some exercises.

Yours,

Yours,
Ilkka

Nearly all of them have something to do with the concept of kinetic chains, and if somebody would let me know more, I would be more than happy to learn more of the concept.

1. The relaxation (no unnecessary muscle contraction to break the bone's nearly unbreakable structure) of the whole of the anatomical structure (waist and hips must be movable)
2. The relative aligment of hips, waist and shoulders
3. Arms and legs steadied well to the skeletal structure (as the continuition of shoulder blades for example)
4. No strange joint aligments (knees, feet, )
5. The centre of mass is 60% more to the "front" (definition of front, could be said)
6. Fiorean tower carried by an elephant, is the back of a person.
7. Feet are on the balls of feet, to help to control.
8. Knowledge of one's strong and weak lines (maybe of the strongs and weaks in general also?).

These I could think of... What other things should I hold important?

Quote:A fencer once stepped off the strip after a particularly fast and furious bout in which he had decisively beaten a much higher-ranked opponent. "Gaws," he said to everyone, "that was better than sex!"
But was it? Can fencnig and sex really be compared? How are they similar? How do they differ? Is it possible that fencing could indeed be "better than sex"? These were the questions people began asking. A team of researchers was hastily assembled and immediately embarked upon an exhausitng program of study, the result of which is following:

The Differences Between Fencing and Sex:
•	Even ugly fencers can score regularly.
•	In fencing you have a coach to tell you what you're doing wrong, and you get to practice it first before trying it out for real.
•	You can fence with strangers without getting a bad repution and you don't have to spend $30 in the bar getting to know them first.
•	You are not being insulting if you insist that your fencing partner wear a mask.
•	No one expects a fencing bout to last much more than two minutes and you don't hve to worry afterwards if the other fencer enjoyed it or not.
•	In fencing you don't have to get your own equipment until you decide whether or not you like it.
•	You usually fence in a big, brightly lit room with lots of people in it.
•	The person you're fencing won't mind if your friends stand around and cheer for you.
•	It is almost impossible to catch a disease through fencing.
•	Whips are normal in fencing.
Moreover:
•	It doesn't hurt if someone steps on your foil.
•	You can play with your foil in public and no one will laugh.
•	If your foil gets a funny bend in it all you have to do is run it under your foot a few times.
•	No one cares how long your foil is, and if it breaks you just get a new one.
•	It is easy to get pretty girls to hold on to your foil
•	Finally, and perhaps most significantly, in fencing if your opponent doesn't come, you win.

Tutta Porta di Ferro, pulsativa.
Posta di Donna, pulsativa (sinestra)

Posta longa, instabile.
Porta di Ferro Mezzzana, stabile.
Posta Breve, stabile.
Dente di Cinghiaro (tutta variant), stabile.
Posta Frontale [ditta Corona], instabile.
I was thinking of this the day before - could it be that the stabile-instabile distinction has something to do with the strength in up-down -direction? Also pulsativa positions seem to be those where you can wait for an attack for as long as you wish and still be able to ocunter most of the attacks - they just can't be used very effectively as attacks themselves...

Also there are many mentions on other guard positions besides these ones (and also on many variations of these - coda lunga as an example done on the left side in the mounted sword -section), but these seem to be the most important when merely using the sole sword. Why to name only these - and especially two cinghiaros and donnas?
